Our scripture reading this week will be in the book of Acts, often referred to as the Acts of the Holy Spirit. The church has been birthed out of the upper room and through the preaching of Peter, the one who denied Jesus, thousands have heard the Gospel message, Jesus was crucified, buied, and resurrected!
Peter's bold messages have led the congregation to sell possessions and help those in need. Many, including Barnabas, gave money to the apostles to be distributed. Ananias and Sapphira also sold a piece of property, only their outcome was not what was expected and struck fear in all who heard of it.
There's alot to consider in this portion of Scripture. Read Acts 4:32-5:11 and we will reason together what this could mean.
