August 3, 2025

Only God could have orchestrated this video. My phone stopped recording at the exact end of our first section of Scripture. The remainder of the discussion was the First Five days of the Creation Story. Culminating with His first commandment, “Be fruitful and multiply”. Being fruitful and multiplying requires us to have interaction. And in today’s culture, the phone prevents that in many ways. When I pointed to my phone that I use to record the class, I realized it had stopped recording AT THE END of our first set of Scripture and BEFORE the second set of Scripture. We all agreed and the point was emphasized. We need to meet together and have intimate and effective contact with other people!

Young Earth vs Old Earth

Young Earth

  • 6000 years old
  • Literal Day - morning and evening
  • Animal created same day as Adam and Eve
  • Dinosaurs lived with humans - Dinosaurs killed by flood
  • No death before sin - Romans 5:12, Romans 8:20

Old Earth
  • 4.5 Billion years old - makes lots of assumptions, rejects literal text
  • Rejects literal days
  • Dinosaurs lived before man
  • Death existed before the Fall of Man

Questions:
  • Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Life.  And it was assumed if they ate from it again, they'd live never die.  Did the animals eat from the tree?
  • Animals were not saved, so was death in natural order?
  • Man only ate plants so there was no need for killing animals for food

Dinosaurs:
  • Flood killed them - Mammoths at Baylor
  • Confirmed by fossils that were covered by mud
  • Sea Creatures on mountains
  • 2005 NCState - fossil that was thought to be 65 million years old and tissue and red blood cells.  Confirms that it lived a few thousand years ago.
